Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig Sept. 21 1982) is an acclaimed American actor. Particularly, she appeared as Shannon Rutherford from ABC's Lost TV series as well as Kim Mills for the Taken Trilogy. After the divorce of her parents the actress left Worthington Ohio in order to settle at Los Angeles. While struggling financially she landed her first role as Rachel's Room's main character the web-based video series Rachel's Room in the year 2001. The actress was able to secure an Young Artist Award nomination in 2002 for her performance as the 15 year old murder victim Martha Moxley in the television film Murder in Greenwich. In 2004, Grace was selected to portray Shannon Rutherford in the television series Lost where she was a main cast member for the first two seasons, and was awarded an award called the Screen Actors Guild Award shared with the cast of the ensemble. Leaving the series Grace wanted to appear more prominently in film having been cast as the opposite of Tom Welling in The Fog in 2005. Grace has been on Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club and in 2007 and Taken with Liam Neeson in 2008 as Kim Mills. She reprised her role as Kim Mills in Taken 2 (2011) and Taken 3 (2013).She also played Alice in Malice in Wonderland, a modern version of the Lewis Carroll novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace reprised Shannon's role on Lost for two more episodes. This included the series final. Grace appeared in Californication's 6th season which ran from 2013 to 2014. The character she plays is Faith she is the muse and fan of the stars. Hank Moody as played by David Duchovny falls in love with her. Gyllenhaal is a part of the family, and is the older sibling of Jake Gyllenhaal. The career of her mother began when she was a teenager with small roles in several films from her father. In addition, she was a part of her brother in 2001's cult movie Donnie Darko. Her subsequent roles included Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind in 2002, as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal received nominations for an Golden Globe Award in both the romantic comedy Sherrybaby (2005) as well as the romantic comedy Secretary (2002). Both films were critically acclaimed. In the wake of several successful commercial films including World Trade Center in 2006 her fame grew for her role as Rachel Dawes (the superhero) in The Dark Knight (2007). The thriller that dealt with psychological issues was awarded the Best Screenplay Award from the Venice International Film Festival. It was also nominated to be awarded the Academy Award of Best Adapted Screenplay.
