Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actress who works in TV and film is best known for films like Rush and Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra was the sole daughter of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. At the age of sixteen, she had landed several television roles, including the lead role in the film Downfall Youth without Youth Control. Following her highly acclaimed performance in the TV film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went on to play other noteworthy parts, including Adolf Hitler's secretary, Traudljunge, as well as the secretary of Adolf Hitler in Downfall. Downfall was nominated for an Oscar and received critical and commercial success. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex and The Reader are also Oscar-nominated movies featuring this diva. Alexandra was involved in many noteworthy projects, both in the United States as well as internationally. These projects included British biographical film Control Greek dramatic film The Dust of Time French historical Miniseries Napoleon, amongst others. She was also part of the jury for the Transylvania International Film Festival, and at Cannes Film Festival.
